Upcoming Midterm Elections

Midterm General Elections decide Congress nationwide each November. Voters choose Senate and House members who check the president. With tight margins and all House seats up, learn candidates, vote.

It’s almost time for those Midterm General Elections!

If you aren’t already aware of them, Midterm General Elections are all about Congress. They happen in every state, every territory, at the same time, and are on the 2nd Tuesday of November.

Who you elect for the Midterm General Elections is important, as they become a part of Congress. Congress keeps a “check and balance” on the Executive Branch of the government, which is currently led by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

The Midterm elections give YOU the power to control which party basically controls both the Senate and the House of Representatives. 35/100 of our Senate seats are up for election for a 6-year term. Right now, Republicans control the Senate; however, only by a slight margin. ALL 435 seats of the House of Representatives will be up for elections, as they only serve 2-year terms.

Start now. Make sure you are aware of everyone who is running for our state, study up, and, if you can (18 or above), VOTE - your vote matters, whether you think so or not.
