On Thursday, October 16th at the BBA Mountain Campus, BBA students, faculty, and staff came together to share an evening full of music and community spirit. All of the acts highlighted the talent and hard work of BBA’s music program, putting on an amazing Calliope Concert.
The concert featured amazing performances, including a string quartet performed by Ava Glover, Spencer Sebestyen, Percy Smith-Holzbaur, and Chloe Zhu, as well as other pieces such as “Disarm" by the Smashing Pumpkins, “Solfeggietto” by C.P.E. Bach,“Harvest Moon” by Neil Young, and “Aerial Boundaries” by Michael Hedge.
The performance also featured creative arrangements and incorporated lots of classical music. Students showed off their musical versatility with pieces ranging from contemporary musical theater to complex classical works.
Lastly, at the end of the concert, everyone gathered for a grand finale drum circle around the bonfire. The concert wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of the producer, Julie Freebern, the box office team, stage managers, crew, and support staff. Special thanks also goes to all the faculty, staff, and contributors who helped make the event run smoothly and created such a special night.
